Cybersecurity Analyst

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Cybersecurity stream. You will assess how organisations protect their people, systems and data, explain what you find in plain language, and help clients put practical fixes in place.

What you will do

  • Carry out security and risk assessments of client accounts, email, devices, networks and backups.
  • Review configurations and access rights, and recommend practical hardening steps.
  • Write clear findings and action plans that a business owner or municipal manager can act on.
  • Support clients with POPIA-aligned security reviews and incident readiness.
  • Track open findings with clients and confirm that fixes work.
  • Keep up with new threats and share what you learn with the team.

What you bring

  • A qualification in information technology, information systems, computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A working understanding of networks, operating systems, identity and access management, and email security.
  • Familiarity with common frameworks and good practice, such as ISO 27001 or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to explain technical risk to non-technical people.
  • Careful, honest work habits, and respect for confidential client information.

Good to have

  • A security certification such as Security+, CEH, CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or study towards one.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID security settings.
  • Experience working with small businesses, public entities or municipalities.
